Read Philippians 4:13.

I love being around positive people. People who see the glass half-full instead of half-empty are people who have a vision. They believe that no matter what their current circumstances are, the best is yet to come.

I recently made a new friend. As soon as I meet him, I knew he was the kind of guy with whom people want to spend time. I don’t know how he does it, but he always manages to be “up” and excited about what the Lord is doing! It took me months to discover that he was experiencing some severe difficulties in life. Among other things, his business was struggling.

Is he a fake? No! He believes Philippians 4:13 from head to toe. He knows the love of the Father will walk him through good times and bad. Instead of keeping his focus of attention on himself, his needs, and his woes, he entrusts everything to the Lord. He is intent on doing all he can to minister to others.

I have sat with others who could only spew bitterness, anger, and negativity. There was no chance that they would lay aside their frustrations and hostility long enough to see what God could do. Their lives, relationships, and health continue to spin out of control.

What a difference a “God can” attitude makes! You can believe, no matter how much you have been wronged or how crushing your circumstances, that by faith, you can do all things through Christ, who gives real strength!

Set a goal to have a “God can” day today. Pray for God to help keep your mindset focused on Him. Ask Him to guard your tongue against negativity and keep you from a constant focus on your problems.
